REITERATING PROHIBITION FOR GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES RELATIVE TO THE FORHTCOMING NATIONAL AND LOCAL ELECTIONS AND RULES FOR THE BOARD OF ELECTION INSPECTORS (BEI)

To : Public Schools District Supervisors
Secondary School Principals
School Head Officers-In-Charge
Public Elementary & Secondary Teachers
All others concerned

1. In view of the Election Ban, please be reminded on the following provisions, to wit:

a. Rule XMII section 3 of the Book v of Executive order No. 292 and its omnibus Rules entitled "Prohibitions"; No officer or employee in the civil service shall engage directly or indirectly in any partisan political activity or take part in any election except to vote nor shall he use his official authority or influence, to coerce $e political activity of any other person or body. Nothing herein provided shall be understood to prevent any officer or employees from expressing his views on current political problems or issues, or from mentioning the names of candidates for public office whom he supports.

b. COMELEC Resolution No. 10031 dated December 22, 2015, Section 6. "Disqualification"; No person shall serve as chairperson or member of the board $ election inspectors if related within the fourth civil degree of consanguinity or affinity to any member of the board of election inspectors or to any candidate to be voted for in the polling place or the candidate's spouse.
